Lumenis One: Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is very effective for the treatment of facial redness, veins, and broken capillaries. Rosacea, sundamage, and environmental toxins can cause unpleasant facial redness that responds well to IPL. Redness can also occur due to a hereditary tendency. Large red and blue veins can form on the face and cheeks following surgeries such as face lifting. Sometimes veins form on the nose spontaneously. With a series of IPL treatments patients can expect to see a reduction in facial reddness, veins, and broken capillaries. For more numerous veins or diffuse redness IPL may have dramatic results. Other signs of sundamage such as roughness, sallowness and brown spots may accompany redness of the face, neck and chest caused by sun. This conditions are also improved with IPL treatments. Multiple treatments are often needed with maintenance 1-2 times a year.

PhotoDynamic Therapy (PDT) supercharges the IPL treatment and gives better results in fewer treatments. PDT is especially appropriate when precancers may be a risk. With IPL or PDT there is the added benefit of overall rejuvenation of the skin.
